A Simple Prayer

Before we jump into a prayer for our global humanity, taken from Romans 5:1-4, I would like to pray for each person who has read my writings.

Thank you to all who have read my work.

Prayer for Every Reader

Father God,

I lift up every single person who has encountered these words, across nations, cultures, languages, and stories. From Germany to South Africa, from the United States to India, United Kingdom to China, Iraq to Uganda, and every place in between, you see them, You know them, and You love them more deeply than they can comprehend. Thank You for each reader, each moment of attention, each heart that paused long enough to consider truth. I ask, Lord, that wherever they are right now, in clarity or confusion, in faith or doubt, in joy or pain, that You would meet them personally.

Not as an idea, but as the living God.

Would You guide their steps toward what is true, anchor them in what is real, and gently redirect them if they are aiming at things that cannot hold them. For those who are searching, reveal Yourself. For those who are weary, give rest. For those who are wounded, bring healing. And for those who know You, draw them deeper still into the beauty of Christ, who is not only the way, but the end toward which all life is meant to move.

Father, thank You for the privilege that these words have travelled further than I ever could. Thank You for every reader, not as a number, but as a person. Bless them, keep them, and lead them into the fullness of who You created them to be.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen.

My Bible-in-a-Year reading today warrants prayer more than investigation. I hope that this prayer touches you as we pray it together.

Prayer

Father God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,

I come before You, not only for myself, but to intercede for all humanity, our global family, and especially for my brothers and sisters within Your house, Lord Jesus.

Father, thank You that through faith, Your gift and Your design, we have access to peace with You. It is astonishing to see the order of Your relationship with us: that You, our Creator, would make a way to save us from ourselves and from all evil.

Thank You that faith is not foreign to us, but deeply woven into our humanity. We live on a planet sustained by forces we cannot see and cannot fully explain. We live among one another, hoping for goodness. We even trust ourselves, despite how often we fail. Faith is inescapable.

Help us, then, to turn to faith as You define it, not as we imagine it, so that we may draw near to You, know You, and experience You as You truly are, not through the distortion of our biases and wounds.

Father, thank You, beyond what words can hold, for Your grace. Grace that meets us again and again, even as we fail, even as we fall short of Your perfect justice, love, holiness, and generosity. Without Your grace, we would be lost before we even knew we were loved.

Thank You that suffering is not the end. Though suffering is born from evil, You, in Your power, transform it. You use it to form endurance, to shape character, and to awaken hope. I do not fully understand why You care for us even in our pain, when we reject You, blame You, and wound You, but I thank You. Please forgive us our ignorance.

Teach us to become a joy to You, not by striving, but by surrender. Help us to move beyond ourselves and into the wonder of who You are, our glorious Saviour.

I love You.

Holy Spirit, I ask that You move across all humanity. Reach those who do not believe, those who are deceived, those who are confused by the noise of this world. Give them encounters with You that shake false certainty and awaken true life.

And Lord… especially me.
I need You.
I need Your beauty, Your truth, Your presence in a world that often wounds more than it heals.

Thank You for loving us.

In Your holy name, Lord Jesus,
Amen.

HAVE A FANTASTICALLY BLESSED DAY.
